Zycortal is a veterinary medicine used to treat dogs with Addison’s disease. Addison’s disease is a condition, known as hypoadrenocorticism, where the adrenal glands (located above the kidneys) do not produce enough of two steroid hormones, called cortisol and aldosterone.
