Flunixin meglumine is a relatively potent non-narcotic, non-steroidal analgesic with anti-inflammatory and anti-pyretic properties. In the horse, Flunixin Injection is indicated for the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculo-skeletal disorders especially in acute and chronic stages and for the alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic. In cattle, Flunixin Injection is indicated for the control of acute inflammation associated with respiratory disease .The recommended dose of is 0.5 mg per lb of body weight once daily. The BANAMINE Paste syringe, calibrated in twelve 250-lb weight increments, delivers 125 mg of f for each 250 lbs (see dosage table).
